The Manhattan Site

Located at 1032 Avenue of the Americas, 3rd and 4th Floors, New York, NY 10018, the Manhattan Site is conveniently situated in mid-town Manhattan, one block south of the New York Public Library and Bryant Park. It is easily accessible by public transportation.

All the lecture, lab and computer classrooms are equipped with touch screen SMART technology whiteboard, with integrated projection and sound system and computer.  SMART technology allows the instructor to annotate over applications, use, edit and post to a website.

Lecture classrooms and a science lab for non-toxic lab work are located on the 3rd floor of the building.  A staff room, also located on this floor is dedicated for faculty use as well as to conduct faculty/student conferences. Student support, advisement and administration services are provided by IAA and Daemen program coordinators on the 4th floor of the building.

IAA has made leasing arrangements for the use of a science laboratory at the Loyola High School in Manhattan for certain Microbiology and Chemistry lab work that are not conducted at the Manhattan Site.

A library room located on the 4th floor holds text books, supplemental reading and reference materials that are related to the courses offered at the Manhattan Site.  Students may also use the adjoining computer lab to access the Daemen on-line library, to prepare for classes or do their homework.  Students are provided with internet access for linkage to on-line libraries, including all resources available to Daemen College residential students via the Marian Library. Students can also make use of the public libraries and college libraries in the New York City area.
